He won four Stanley Cups with the Islanders from 1980-1983.

He won a Stanley Cup with the Rangers in 1940 and with the Maple Leafs in 1945. Pratt was a first-team All-Star for the 1943-44 season.

A three-time second-team All-Star, he led the league with five shutouts during the 1946-47 season and won the Hart Memorial Trophy in 1950.

Smith won the Vezina Trophy and was a first-team All-Star in 1982, and won the Conn Smythe and William M. Jennings trophies in 1983. He won four consecutive Stanley Cups with the Islanders from 1980-1983. Smith led the NHL with 32 wins in 1981-82 and he ranks 27th all-time in career wins.

He led the league with 49 assists in 1943-44, won the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy in 1939 and 1944, and won a title with the Rangers in 1940.

He led the league with 77 assists in 1977-78 and 87 assists, 134 points and a 76 plus-minus in 1978-79. A two-time first-team All-Star, Trottier won four consecutive championships with the Islanders from 1980-1983 and back-to-back Stanley Cups with the Penguins in 1991 and 1992. He won the Calder Memorial Trophy in 1976, the Art Ross Trophy and Hart Memorial Trophy in 1979, the Conn Smythe Trophy in 1980 and the King Clancy Memorial Trophy in 1989. He ranks 33rd all-time with 524 goals, 18th all-time with 901 assists and is 16th all-time in points.

Worsley won the Calder Memorial Trophy with the Rangers in 1953 but enjoyed most of his success with the Canadiens, where he won four championships and two Vezina trophies.

Torrey drafted Hall of Famers Billy Smith, Denis Potvin, Clark Gillies, Bryan Trottier and Mike Bossy and executed a trade for Butch Goring that preceded the Islanders’ first title.
