In 20 seasons with the Islanders, Arbour coached 1,500 games with a .601 winning percentage. He led the Islanders to four consecutive Stanley Cups from 1980-1983 and a conference championship in 1984.

SPORT: Hockey TEAM: Islanders POSITION: Right wing INDUCTED: 1991 CAREER: 1977-1987 IN NY: 1977-1987 A five-time first-team All-Star, Bossy won the Calder Memorial Trophy in 1978, the Conn Smythe Trophy in 1982 and the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy in 1983, 1984 and 1986. He won four consecutive Stanley Cups with the Islanders from 1980 to 1983 and he ranks 20th all-time with 573 goals. Bossy led the NHL with 69 goals in 1978-79 and 68 goals in 1980-81, and led the league with 10 game-winning goals in 1980-81 and nine game-winners in 1985-86. He had 1,126 points in 10 seasons and 160 points in 129 playoff games.

He had 319 goals, 378 assists and a 241 plus-minus in 14 seasons with the Islanders and Sabres.

SPORT: Hockey TEAM: Islanders POSITION: Center INDUCTED: 2003 CAREER: 1983-1998 IN NY: 1983-1991 with the Islanders, 1997-1998 with the Rangers LaFontaine had 468 goals and 545 assists in 15 seasons with the Islanders, Sabres and Rangers. He won the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy in 1995 and was selected to five All-Star games.

He won four Stanley Cups with the Islanders from 1980-1983.

Smith won the Vezina Trophy and was a first-team All-Star in 1982, and won the Conn Smythe and William M. Jennings trophies in 1983. He won four consecutive Stanley Cups with the Islanders from 1980-1983. Smith led the NHL with 32 wins in 1981-82 and he ranks 27th all-time in career wins.

He led the league with 77 assists in 1977-78 and 87 assists, 134 points and a 76 plus-minus in 1978-79. A two-time first-team All-Star, Trottier won four consecutive championships with the Islanders from 1980-1983 and back-to-back Stanley Cups with the Penguins in 1991 and 1992. He won the Calder Memorial Trophy in 1976, the Art Ross Trophy and Hart Memorial Trophy in 1979, the Conn Smythe Trophy in 1980 and the King Clancy Memorial Trophy in 1989. He ranks 33rd all-time with 524 goals, 18th all-time with 901 assists and is 16th all-time in points.

SPORT: Hockey TEAM: Islanders POSITION: General manager INDUCTED: 1995 CAREER: 1968-2001 IN NY: 1972-1992 During Torrey’s tenure as the first GM of the Islanders, New York won six division titles, four Stanley Cups and had a run of 14 consecutive winning seasons. Torrey drafted Hall of Famers Billy Smith, Denis Potvin, Clark Gillies, Bryan Trottier and Mike Bossy and executed a trade for Butch Goring that preceded the Islanders’ first title.
