BACKGROUND:
- Mancusi, 58, of Glen Cove, was elected to the city council in 2021 and is seeking a second term.
- He is a retired Glen Cove police sergeant.
- He is the owner and CEO of Lawman Enterprises, which provides code-enforcement services to Long Island municipalities.
ISSUES:
- Mancusi said that as a city council member he uses interpersonal skills acquired as a police officer and sergeant to bring about positive change in the city.
- He said he was instrumental in returning access to public fishing grounds for local anglers.
- He said the current administration’s policies led to Moody’s bond upgrades and an improved fiscal outlook assessment from the Office of the New York State Comptroller.
