BACKGROUND

  • Malone, 64, of Great River, is a registered Conservative and is running on the Democratic, Republican and Conservative party lines in the general election.
  • He has been a Suffolk County Family Court judge since 2021 and an acting Supreme Court justice since 2023.
  • Malone was a judge for the Suffolk County District Court, 5th District, in Islip Town from 2018 to 2020.
  • Malone served on the Southampton Town Council from 2010 to 2014.
  • He received his undergraduate degree in 1983 from Clarkson University in upstate Potsdam and a law degree from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, in 2005. He was admitted to the bar in 2007.
