Bogle, 58, of Valley Stream, is running on the Republican, Conservative, Independence and Reform party lines and is endorsed by Tax Revolt. He has served as a Valley Stream village justice since 1986, an acting Long Beach city judge since 1995, and a supervising court attorney, Nassau County Court, since 1999. He is also an adjunct professor at LIU Post since 1995. From 1988 to 1999, he was principal law clerk to Judge Ira H. Wexner and from 1983 to 1988 he was a deputy Nassau County attorney. He graduated from Niagara University with a bachelor's degree in political science in 1979 and a law degree from Hofstra University Law School in 1982. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1983, and to both the Eastern District and Southern District of New York Federal Court in 1984 and to the U.S. Supreme Court in 1992. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the New York State Advisory Committee on Judicial Ethics. He was president of the New York State Magistrates Association from 2004-2005, director of the Nassau County Bar Association from 1997 to 2000, and president of the Nassau County Magistrates Association in 1995. He was a lecturer for the New York State Office of Court Administration on criminal practice.
