BACKGROUND:

Sammut, 65, of Wantagh, is running on the Republican, Democratic and Conservative party lines in the general election.
Sammut has been a practicing attorney for 31 years at his own law firm in Garden City where he represents clients in estate planning, estate administration, elder planning and business planning.
He graduated from Fordham University in 1979 and then continued on at its School of Law to earn a juris doctor in 1982.
He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1983.
