Conrad D. Singer is running for Nassau County Family Court judge

Conrad D. Singer

Singer, 54, of Great Neck Plaza is running on the Democratic, Reform, Women’s Equality, Green and Working Families lines. He is a Nassau County Family Court judge and has served in this position since January 2007. He is also an acting New York State Supreme Court justice. Previously, he served as the Great Neck Plaza village justice from 2000 to 2006. He also served as a hearing officer for the New York Department of Education from 2003 to 2006 and a judicial hearing officer for the Nassau County Traffic Violations Bureau from 2004 to 2006. Singer was managing attorney for the law office of Conrad D. Singer PC, in Great Neck from 1995 to 2006. Before that, he was a trial attorney for the law office of Robert Elan and the law office of Bruce A. Lawrence in Brooklyn from 1993 to 1995, a litigation association for Feldman & Rudy in Westbury from 1991 to 1993, and an assistant district attorney for Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office from 1990 to 1991. He has been a member of the Great Neck Vigilant Fire Department since 1980 and served as chief of the department from 2000 to 2004. In 2013, he was named New York State Family Court Judge of the Year by the New York State Family Court Judges Association, of which he is a member. He is also a member of the New York State Bar Association and has been serving as treasurer and executive board member of the judicial section since June 2014. He received a bachelor’s degree from Adelphi University in 1985 and a law degree from Pace University School of Law in 1989. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1989.
