Lisa Daniels is running for Nassau County Family Court Judge
BACKGROUND
- Daniels, 58, of Lynbrook, is running on the Democratic, Republican and Conservative party lines in the general election.
- She has been an attorney in private practice since 1998, focused on matrimonial and family law. She is regularly appointed by the Courts as the attorney for children who are the subject of custody disputes, abuse, and neglect matters. She has also been appointed as a Court Evaluator, Court Examiner, Guardian, and Referee.
- She serves on the Nassau Matrimonial Center’s Mediation Program roster, as well as the Nassau Family Treatment Court’s Steering Committee, and is a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers.
- Daniels received her Bachelor of Science from Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations in 1988 and her law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1991. She was admitted to the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, 2nd Judicial Department in 1992.
