BACKGROUND: Andrews, 61, of Mount Sinai, is running on the Republican, Conservative and Reform party lines in the general election.  Andrews has been a court of claims law clerk since 2015 and was an arbitrator from 2000 to 2015, handling small claims cases. He served as an assistant district attorney for Suffolk County from 1982 to 1989. Andrews received his undergraduate degrees from Suffolk County Community College in 1976 and the State University of New York at Oneonta in 1978. He graduated from Capital University Law School in 1982 and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1983. Andrews is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association and served on its Fee Dispute Resolution Committee from 2000 to 2015.
