BACKGROUND:
- Andrews, 66, of Mount Sinai, is running on the Republican and Conservative party lines in the general election.
- He was elected to the District Court in January 2019 and appointed as acting County Court judge in 2022.
- Andrews was a Court of Claims law clerk from 2015 to 2019. Between 1989 and 2015, Andrews was in private practice and also acted as an arbitrator for the Small Claims Court.
- He served as an assistant district attorney for Suffolk County from 1982-1989.
- Andrews received his undergraduate degrees from State University of New York at Oneonta in 1978 and Suffolk County Community College in 1976. He graduated from Capital University Law School in Ohio in 1982.
- He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1983.
