BACKGROUND
- Posterli, 58, of Long Beach, is running on the Democratic party line.
- She owns a communications consulting business. She served on the Long Beach City Council from January 2022 to January 2024 and the Long Beach School Board from 2018 to 2021.
- Posterli received a bachelor’s degree in allied health professions from the Ohio State University in 1989.
 
ISSUES
- Posterli said if elected she would focus on ensuring the schools in her district get their fair share of foundation aid so students get a quality education, and on keeping property taxes from spiking.
- She said she would work to secure funding for infrastructure to protect vulnerable Long Island communities from flooding and sea level rise.
- Posterli said she wants to help protect reproductive rights, ensure access to reproductive health care and advance policies that focus on preventive health care, mental health and maternal health services, ensuring no one is left behind.
