MEREDITH B. LIPINSKY

Republican

BACKGROUND:

  • Lipinsky, 44, of Wading River, is seeking her second term in the assessor’s office. She is also running on the Conservative line.
  • She graduated from the University of Delaware, where she studied sociology and landscape horticulture.
  • She is a state-certified assessor and was a real estate title examiner for 18 years.

ISSUES:

  • Lipinsky said there is always something new to learn from real property tax law, to the town code or building code.
  • She said she works to serve people with a helpful, ethical and equal approach, as all permits in town come through the assessor's office for valuation. The assessor’s office was busy with the spike in home sales during the pandemic.
  • She said the fate of the Enterprise Park at Calverton, one of the town’s most important issues, will also be a key focus for the assessor’s office.
