BACKGROUND

  • Katz, 57, of Huntington, is running on the Democratic party line in the general election.
  • He became the fractional chief operating officer of Vallely Law PLLC in Syosset in October 2023.
  • Since 2019, Katz has been president of Jordan S. Katz and Associates in Melville, a litigation and consulting firm that caters to private investors and real estate firms in the mortgage industry.
  • From 2016 to 2019, he was a managing partner at Aldridge Pite LLC in Melville, and prior to that he held the same position at Kozeny, McCubbin & Katz LLP, also in Melville, from 2012 to 2016.
  • Katz owned his own practice in Garden City, the Law Office of Jordan S. Katz, from January 2001 to December 2011.
  • He graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans and earned his law degree from the Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center at Touro College. Katz was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1991.
