BACKGROUND

  • Ferretti, 42, of Levittown, a registered Republican, is running for his first term after being appointed Town Supervisor on Aug. 5; he was reappointed on Sept. 16. He stepped down as a Nassau County Legislator during his fourth term to become Town Supervisor. He is running on the Republican and Conservative party lines.

  • Previously he served as Nassau County chief deputy county clerk from 2010 to 2017 and as an associate trial attorney with the law firm of Nicolini, Paradise, Ferretti & Sabella.

  • He received his undergraduate degree from Hofstra University in history and political science and his law degree from CUNY School of Law.

 

ISSUES

  • Ferretti said he wants to focus on fiscally responsible budgeting, cutting costs without reducing serves and giving relief to taxpayers.

  • To ensure public safety, Ferretti said the town will work with police departments to protect houses of worship and have zero tolerance for hate directed against racial or religious groups, including antisemitism.

  • The town's capital investments should focus on improving the town’s roads as well as its parks by replacing outdated playground equipment, renovating pools and building splash parks, he said.
