Weber, 71, of Westhampton Beach, is running on the Republican, Conservative, Independence, Green, Working Families and Reform party lines. He maintains a private practice in Westhampton Beach. He was a Suffolk County Court judge from 1993 to 2012 and was a partner in the firm of Weber & Pohl from 1975 to 1992. Before that he was a Suffolk County assistant district attorney from 1970 to 1974 and a part-time professor at Suffolk County Community College from 1972 to 1974. He received his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University in 1966 and obtained his law degree from Syracuse University College of Law in 1968. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1969. He was admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Eastern and Southern Districts, in 1980. He is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Suffolk County Bar Association, Suffolk County Magistrates Association, Suffolk County Criminal Bar Association and the Florida Bar. From 1993 to 2012, Weber was a member of the County Judges Association of the State of New York. During that same period, he was also a member of the Suffolk County Court Judges Association, for which he was treasurer from 1994 to 2012.
