Frank A. Tantone

Tantone, 56, of Bayport, is running on the Democrat, Republican, Conservative, Independence and Reform party lines. Tantone had been the Islip Republican Party chairman for seven years when he resigned in June to run for Family Court judge. He is an attorney with Tantone & Gulotta in Ronkonkoma, a general practice law firm he founded with his partner Anthony Gulotta in 2000. Tantone is also the prosecuting attorney for the Village of Islandia, a post he’s held since 2010. Tantone was on the Islip town planning board from 1996 to 2010, serving as chairman of the board for eight of those years. Tantone served on the Suffolk County Planning Commission from 2001 to 2006. He began his legal career in 1986 at the law firm of Russo, Garguilo, Fox in Hauppauge. Tantone graduated from Hofstra University in 1982 and earned his law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 1985. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1986 and is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association.
