Ogar said that she runs a very efficient town clerk’s office, and said she takes pride in her staff. She added that she has a strong familiarity in the town administration and serves all its members equally. “I’ve been in this job for so long, they all know me,” Ogar said.
Ogar, 78, of Shelter Island, is running on the Republican and Democratic party lines. She has held the office of town clerk for 39 years. Before that, she served as deputy town clerk for 16 years. She is married with one child.
