BACKGROUND:
- Field, 46, of Old Bethpage, is a Plainview Water District commissioner. Field serves as the legislative chair of the Nassau Suffolk Water Commissioners’ Association and is the legislative co-chair of the Long Island Water Conference.
- Field ran unsuccessfully last year for Oyster Bay Town supervisor. Field has a bachelor’s degree in communications from Syracuse University.
- She is a member of the New York State Conference of Local Mental Hygiene Directors Regional Planning Consortium.
ISSUES:
- Field said that she is a “big advocate for pro-choice.”
- She said that if elected she will “protect our safety by addressing bail reform, crime and common sense gun laws.”
- She said she is an advocate for public education and wants to expand universal supports for students and teachers to provide equal services in all districts.
- Field supports capping state and school taxes “so that seniors and those just starting out can afford to live here.”
