Several Long Island businesses mark off a day during the week when customers can catch a financial break. Whether you are a student on a budget, a hungry family of four, or a retired couple enjoying a night out, your burgers will taste better and arcade games will be even more fun when you know you’re getting a discount.  Keep a calendar of your favorite places’ weekly specials so you can savor savings every day of the week. On Meaty Monday, beef, turkey and veggie burgers, plus meatloaf, are all $15. Taco Tuesday features two for $7 tacos, two for $7 empanadas and $7 margaritas and sangria. On Wednesday, when there is live music from 6 to 9 p.m., take advantage of $25 bottles of wine and $5 desserts. Thursday is Surf and Turf night, with $25 lobster rolls and $25 steak frites. Monday it’s two for one until 10 p.m.: Get two enchiladas for $13, all day Monday until 10 p.m. On Wednesday, get a whole chicken and choose four sides from a list of salad, veggies, rice, fries, cornbread, black or refried beans for $25. Changing Times is changing things up on Mondays. Along with $5 pints of Miller Light, there are mix and match sliders (cheeseburger, pulled pork, chicken cordon bleu and Nashville hot chicken), two for $12 including fries. dine-in only from 5 to 10 p.m. The sports bar’s version of Taco Tuesday, from 4 to 10 p.m., features a trio of tacos for $11, two chicken or beef tacos for $6, two Bang Bang Shrimp tacos for $10, $16 chicken fajitas and $18 steak fajitas. “Family Night” at this indoor trampoline park takes place Tuesdays from 4 to 8 p.m., during which up to four people can jump for an hour for $40 (the usual cost is $25 per person). A senior citizen discount gets those ages 62 and older into the aquarium for half-price through May 31 on Thursdays. Tickets are $16 per person (regular price is $32.99); guests must purchase tickets at the door to get the offer.

This village stalwart has a special for every night of the week. On Monday, get a chicken pot pie or shepherd’s pie for $17. Thursday get a $28 steak dinner that includes flat iron, skirt, or New York sirloin steak along with topping, potato and vegetable. Sandwiches and entrees on the menu are buy one, get one free when you dine in at Zan’s. Select from an abundance of specialty, overstuffed, and hot-open sandwiches and entrees like burgers, roasted half chicken, southern fried chicken, braised fresh brisket or beef, rib-eye steak, stuffed cabbage, penne alla vodka and pasta primavera, among other items.
