James Malone is running for Suffolk County District Court Judge, 5th District, Town of Islip

James Malone

Malone, 56, of Sayville, is running on the Democratic, Republican, Conservative, Green, Independence, Women’s Equality and Reform party lines. He has been a law clerk for State Supreme Court Justice William Condon since 2014. Previously, he was a Town of Southampton councilman from 2010 to 2014. He was a Suffolk County senior deputy county clerk from 2008 to 2014. He worked for the Suffolk County Legal Aid Society as a public defender from 2007 to 2008. He was the Southampton Town Conservative Party chairman from 2008 to 2009. He was a justice court clerk in Port Jefferson Village under Justices John Riley and Peter J. Graham from 2000 to 2005. He was a bond trader in Manhattan for Citicorp from 1985 to 1995. He received a bachelor’s degree from Clarkson University and a law degree from Touro Law Center. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2007. He is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association and the Suffolk County Criminal Bar Association.
