Elizabeth A. Bloom is running for Suffolk County District Court Judge, 5th District, Town of Islip
Bloom, 58, of West Islip is running on the Democrat Party line. Since 2010, she has been the support magistrate in the Nassau County Family Court. From 2005 to 2010, Bloom was a court attorney in the Nassau County Family Court. From 2002 to 2005, she was a law clerk to several Nassau County Supreme Court judges, including Justice Ira J. Raab, Justice Michele M. Woodard and Judge Joel K. Asarch. She received her undergraduate degree from SUNY Albany and her law degree from Touro College’s Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. She was admitted to the New York and Massachusetts state bars in 2002. Since 2008, she’s been a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association and the Nassau County Law Secretaries and Court Attorneys Association. She also has been on the board of directors of the Friends of Connetquot Inc. since 2011.
