• Weissbard, 59, of Stony Brook, is running on the Republican and Conservative party lines in the general election.
• He is an attorney in private practice since April 2023.
• Previously, he was an attorney at the Suffolk County Legal Aid Society’s Family Court Bureau from 2012 to 2023 and an Assistant County Attorney with the Suffolk County Attorney Office’s Family Court Bureau from 2001 to 2012.
• From 1993 to 2001 he was a private practice attorney in Setauket, and from 1990 to 1991 he worked for Physicians Reciprocal Insurers in Manhasset doing in-house medical malpractice defense.
• He received a bachelor’s from the University at Albany in 1986 and a law degree from Hofstra University School of Law in 1989.
• He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1990.
