BACKGROUND

  • Davis, 63, of Rockville Centre, is a registered Democrat and is running on the Democratic Party line in the general election. He is seeking a second term.
  • He grew up in the Village of Hempstead and graduated from SUNY Buffalo and Hofstra Law School in Hempstead. 
  • Davis is an attorney with his own firm in Queens. He has more than 30 years of experience in litigation and has served as commissioner of the Nassau County Civil Service Commission.

ISSUES

  • Davis noted that affordability is one of the top concerns in the area and said he wants to decrease “wasteful” spending in the county. He said it’s imperative for the county to make fiscal decisions based on reasonable revenue projections.
  • He said he will continue to fight for county resources to invest in park and infrastructure projects around his district.
  • Davis said he wants to continue building relationships with community members given that the district boundaries will change next year.
