Samantha A. Goetz

BACKGROUND

• Goetz, 37, of Locust Valley, is a registered Republican and is running on the Republican and Conservative party lines in the general election. 
• She was formerly Nassau’s deputy county attorney and worked as an assistant town attorney in Oyster Bay. 
• She graduated from Binghamton University in 2009 and New York Law School in 2012.  

ISSUES

• Goetz said she is focused on keeping taxes down and feels rising costs are contributing to Long Island’s housing affordability crisis.
• She opposes Gov. Kathy Hochul’s housing plan and said the initiative will cause issues with overcrowding and affect the character of neighborhoods.
• She said she supports the hiring of more police officers and wants to address the rise in hate crimes.
