Salvatore Formica is running for Suffolk County Legislator, 13th District

BACKGROUND

Formica, 60, of Commack, is a registered Republican and is running on the Republican and Conservative party lines in the general election.
He is a retired detective who worked with the NYPD’s Emergency Services Unit and is a former chief of the Commack Fire Department. He is also a restaurateur.
Formica has served for more than a decade on the Commack South Little League Board.

ISSUES

Formica said public safety and crime reduction are top priorities.
Improvements to infrastructure and housing development are also on his agenda.
He said he will focus on environmental health, air and water quality that impact the quality of life for Suffolk County families.
