BACKGROUND
- Anzai, 47, of Jericho, is running on the Republican Party line in the general election. She ran unsuccessfully for the seat in 2022.
- She works in the tech field as an IT professional.
- Anzai arrived in the United States in 2006 on a student visa.
ISSUES
- Anzai said she opposes the state’s bail reform law. “We should fix this issue,” she said.
- She said she disagrees with Gov. Kathy Hochul’s urban housing plan and said affordable housing should be built elsewhere in the state.
- Anzai said she does not support a push to make Nassau a “sanctuary county” for migrants.
