BACKGROUND
- Blanchard, 64, of Westbury, is a registered Republican and is running on the Republican and Conservative party lines in the general election.
- He is a licensed respiratory therapist and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Molloy University in Rockville Centre.
- Blanchard said he has volunteered with the Nassau County Auxiliary Police.
 
ISSUES
- Blanchard said he wants to create jobs and workforce opportunities by expanding career development programs and supporting local economic growth.
- He said he will strengthen public safety by working with the Nassau County Police Department to hire more officers and increase patrols.
