Lori M. Hulse

Hulse, 48, of Riverhead, is running on the Republican, Conservative and Independence party lines. She is the assistant town attorney in the Southold Town Attorney's Office, a position she's held since 2003. From 1998 to 2002, Hulse was the senior trial attorney in the Major Crime Bureau of the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office. Hulse worked in the Kings County District Attorney's Office from 1991 to 1998, holding a variety of positions while there (assistant district attorney from 1991 to 1994; senior trial attorney from 1994 to 1997; and deputy bureau chief from 1997 to 1998). She graduated from St. John Fisher College with a bachelor of arts degree in communications and political science in 1988 and received her law degree from St. John's University School of Law in 1991. She was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1992. She is a member of the Riverhead Central School District board of education, where she served as president from 2002 to 2006. She was a member and legal adviser for the Landmarks Preservation Commission in Riverhead from 2000 to 2002. She is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association.
