Laurie A. Zaneski is running for Riverhead town receiver of taxes

Laurie A. Zaneski

Zaneski said she wants to set up a website to provide detailed information about assessments and payments. "I would love to see the information on a website live where you could check your payment history and look up assessments and exemptions," she said. "We also need to update the computer system. We're inundated with phone calls from mortgage and title companies and our system is so antiquated there's nothing online."

Zaneski, 49, of Aquebogue, is running unopposed on the Republican, Conservative and Reform lines. She has been the receiver of taxes for the past three years. She has a bachelor of science degree in sociology and psychology from Stony Brook University. She is married and has three children.
