BACKGROUND
- O’Pharrow, 53, of West Babylon, is running on the Democratic Party line in the general election to fill the seat formerly held by five-term incumbent Democrat Kimberly Jean-Pierre, who did not seek reelection.

- O’Pharrow coaches at Starrett City Boxing and in 2019 founded Cops N’ Kids, a youth mentoring organization.
ISSUES

- He said he would network with veterans, help connect them with services and make sure they have the needed resources when returning from deployments.
- O’Pharrow said he would work to expand affordable housing options and increase building projects.
