BACKGROUND
- Kayla Knight, 27, of Wantagh, a registered Republican, is running on the Republican and Conservative party lines to fill the seat of Leg. John Ferrette, who was appointed Hempstead Town Supervisor.
- She is an associate attorney with the Jericho-based firm Nicolini, Paradise, Ferretti & Sabella. She is a personal injury lawyer and also provided free legal advice for veterans.
- Knight received a Bachelor of Science degree in legal studies from St. John’s University and a law degree from Hofstra University.
 
ISSUES
- Knight said she will work to keep taxes flat to make Nassau County affordable so families and seniors can remain in Nassau and welcome new homeowners.
- She said she will support police, collaborating closely with law enforcement to address community concerns and invest in technology to assist officers and investigations.
- She said she wants to maintain local zoning control, preserve neighborhood character and ensure fairness in women’s sports.
