BACKGROUND: Iliou, 53, of West Babylon is running on the Democratic, Republican and Conservative party lines.
- Iliou was elected a Suffolk County Court Judge in 2012. He was appointed as Acting Justice of the Supreme Court in 2014.
- He was elected Suffolk County district court judge in 2005 and served until 2012. In 2010 he was appointed as Acting County Court Judge where he presided over the Suffolk County Drug Court and the Judicial Diversion Program.
- Iliou was a Suffolk County Court principal law clerk from 1999 to 2006.
- From 2004 to 2006, he was an associate village justice for the Lindenhurst Village Court.
- From 1997 to 1999, he was a court attorney for the Family Court.
- He earned a bachelor’s degree from Hofstra University in 1991 and a law degree from the Albany School of Law of Union University in 1994. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1996.
