Jennifer S. DeSena is running for Supervisor, Town of North Hempstead

BACKGROUND

DeSena, 56, a registered Democrat, is running on the Republican and Conservative lines. She was first elected supervisor in 2021 before winning reelection in 2023.
She led several nonprofits before taking office, including the Manhasset Coalition against Substance Abuse.
DeSena earned her undergraduate degree from Boston College in 1991 and her law degree from St. John's School of Law in 1994. She was a practicing attorney until 2001.

ISSUES

DeSena said she wants to continue to protect taxpayers' wallets by keeping taxes low.
She is committed to working with local police to protect residents and maintain public safety.
DeSena said she wants to continue to maintain and preserve the town's public parks, and pave more roads.
