BACKGROUND:
- Ginsberg, 27, of Merrick, has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and a master’s degree in public administration from Baruch College in Manhattan.
- During his undergraduate years, he interned as a constituent liaison for Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand and Charles Schumer.
- In 2019, he interned as a legal assistant in the New York State Supreme Court in Jamaica, Queens.
ISSUES:
- Ginsberg said that if elected he would be the youngest openly gay Assembly member.
- Ginsberg said he will advocate for the protection of LGBTQ+ youth in the schools and for the community’s efforts to gain full equality under the law.
- He said he would “protect the reproductive rights of women.”
- He said he would work to lower property taxes “so that Long Island is affordable for the next generation.”
