Clive A. Cossou

BACKGROUND

  • Cossou, 66, of Westbury, is a registered Democrat and is running on the Democratic Party line in the general election.
  • He is a data clerk at the Nassau County Board of Elections in Mineola. He previously worked as a data communications expert for a telephone company.
  • Cossou is a volunteer for the Democratic Party.

ISSUES

  • Cossou said he is a “motivated Democratic Party volunteer” and wants to do what he can to boost party enrollment.
  • He said he wants “to make it easier for people to vote and not as hard as it’s being made right now. As long as you are a citizen and you live here, your voice should be heard.”
  • He said that if elected he will reach out to Republicans “who don’t like the high taxes that keep going up incrementally, but all the time.” He said he will support creating a supervised youth center in the legislative district for after-school activities.
