Christopher Sperber
Christopher Sperber is running for New York State Assembly - 11th District
CHRISTOPHER SPERBER
REPUBLICAN
BACKGROUND:
- Sperber, 37, of West Babylon, is making his first run for office. He also is running on the Conservative line.
- He graduated from Stony Brook, where he studied economics, and earned an MBA at St. Joseph's College in Patchogue.
- He was a senior court clerk for the state court system when he said he was fired on April 22 for not having a COVID vaccination. He now works in the family landscaping business and in private security.
ISSUES:
- Sperber said he will work to end current bail laws and work with stakeholders to develop a version that gives discretion to judges. He would work to get more training resources for police officers, to enhance community relations and to help defuse mental health situations.
- He said he will combat inflation by working for a more business-friendly environment for small businesses, addressing taxes and offering legislation to reduce red tape.
- He would lift all public mandates regarding COVID-19, Sperber said. Vaccination should be a personal choice, he said.
