BACKGROUND

  • McQuair, 58, of Glen Cove, is running on the Democratic, Republican and Conservative party lines in the general election.
  • He was appointed a District Court judge in March 2024. Prior to that, McQuair was counsel to the supervisor for the Town of North Hempstead from 2022 to 2024.
  • McQuair was an attorney for the Town of Oyster Bay from 2020 to 2021.
  • He was an attorney for the City of Glen Cove from 2014 to 2020 specializing in municipal law.
  • Since 1996, McQuair has been in private practice specializing in civil, criminal and landlord-tenant law.
  • He received his undergraduate degree from SUNY Old Westbury and his law degree from the City University of New York School of Law in 1992. McQuair was admitted to the New York State bar in 1993 and the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York in 1994.
