  • He has served as a judge in Suffolk County Family Court since 2010.
  • Cheng worked as a principal law clerk to Judge James C. Hudson in Suffolk County Court in Riverside from 2003 to 2010.
  • Cheng worked as an attorney in the Family Court and law guardian bureaus of the Legal Aid Society from 1995 to 2001, and served as a Suffolk County assistant county attorney from September 2001 through December 2002.
  • Cheng earned his undergraduate degree from Stony Brook University in 1990 and received his law degree from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 1994.
