Fidelia's campaign says she is "committed to bringing her distinguished business experience to the town clerk's office and is supremely prepared for the business of handling permits and licenses in the town." Fidelia, according to her campaign, would assure residents a confidence "that a known professional is at the helm administering the town's files." Fidelia "is committed to transparency" when it comes to the town's files and records when fulfilling freedom of information requests, which would be a part of her service if elected, and is "part of a slate of candidates committed to bringing real reform to Islip."
Fidelia is running on the Democratic, Working Families and Women's Equality party lines. She is a licensed real estate associate broker and the executive director of Reviving Haiti, a nonprofit. Fidelia was formerly senior vice president of strategic planning and marketing for Anchor Capital International where she created a financial platform for the international trade industry. Fidelia is also the former executive director of the Town of Islip Foreign Trade Zone, administrator for the federal Foreign Trade Zone program, Suffolk County director of the Long Island Board of Realtors, and director of the New York State Board of Realtors. She is the founding president and board member of the Haitian American PAC, an advisory board member of the Haitian American International Chamber of Commerce, and founding member of the Islandia-Central Islip Rotary Club where she has served as president. She lives in Islip hamlet with her husband and four children.
