Annmarie Seddio is running for Shelter Island town receiver of taxes

Annmarie Seddio

Seddio said her position is not partisan. "It's pretty black and white," she said. "I deal with numbers and factual information. My job doesn't pertain to political issues."

Seddio, 48, is running on the Democratic, Republican and Independence lines. She was appointed to the position, and then ran last November for the last year of the term. She is now running unopposed for a full four-year term. A Shelter Island resident for 15 years, Seddio received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Hofstra University in 1990. She is engaged and has a son from a previous marriage.
