The New York State Health Department compiles inspection data on Nassau eateries. Suffolk data is currently unavailable, but the map will be updated when data is released. Information includes venue name, address and violations found during the most recent inspections. Critical violations are those related to food-borne illnesses, the state says. Noncritical violations do not cause food-borne illness but can affect operation. A venue may be cited for only part of the violation described.
