2023-24 teacher and administrator pay
Public education employees statewide, excluding New York City, were paid more than $19 billion during the 2023-24 school year, according to data reported to the New York State Teachers’ Retirement System obtained under the state's Freedom of Information Law. Salaries for educators on Long Island totaled nearly $6.3 billion. Some names might appear more than once in the data if the individual changed positions or school districts during the academic year.
