Nassau reassessment phase-in plan’s impact on property taxes
Tax bills for more than 205,000 properties in Nassau County — about 53 percent — are projected to rise in the 2020-21 tax year under County Executive Laura Curran’s reassessment plan, according to new county projections.
Nassau property owners would experience a median increase of $485.01 in property taxes under Curran's taxpayer protection program, compared with a median increase of $1,632.05 without the program.
The table below shows the number and percentage of properties that would receive an increase, decrease or no change in taxes with the taxpayer protection plan, broken down by legislative district. Read more about Curran's phase-in plan here. This database was posted on March 3, 2020.
