Auto insurance premiums by community

Drivers in some western Nassau County communities pay more than their fellow motorists in Suffolk, but less than people in the city.

Drivers in some western Nassau County communities pay higher annual auto insurance premiums than their fellow motorists in Suffolk, but not as much as residents of Brooklyn and Queens. The map and table below detail annual auto insurance premiums by ZIP Code for Long Island, New York City and several northern counties. The table lists Long Island communities first, with the highest-paying at the top. You can type your ZIP Code alongside the search window (magnifying glass) in the lower left corner of the map to zero-in on your ZIP, then click inside the zone for the premium. You can read more about the auto insurance trend. This database was posted on Feb. 15, 2019.
