Using public-records requests, Newsday obtained the contracts for college football coaches at 109 public schools and services academies in the NCAA's Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), formerly known as Division I-A. 2017 guaranteed money - Represents all earnings the head coach stands to gross during the calendar year. This figure includes base salary along with automatically vesting bonuses for various reasons such as length of service, marketing, public appearances, public relations, team apparel/equipment sponsorships, etc.
