Base compensation

• 2017 guaranteed pay: $800,000

Incentives

• CFP semifinal win: $50,000
• CFP semifinal appearance: $50,000
• Conference title bonus: $50,000
• Conference regular season division title bonus: $30,000
• Misc athletic-based incentives: $10,000 for each regular-season win beginning with their seventh; $2,000 for all-conference first team, $1,500 for second team, $1,000 for third team, $750 for honorable mention
• Coach of the year award bonus: $15,000 for conference coach of year; $15,000 for regional coach of year; $25,000 for national coach of year;
• Academic bonuses: $7,000 for team GPA of 3.0, $6,000 for 2.9, $5,000 for 2.8, $4,000 for 2.7, $3,000 for 2.6; $2,000 for MAC scholar athlete, $750 for academic all-conference player; $2,000 for each academic all-district first team player; $4,000 for academic All-American player
• Car: one courtesy car or $400 monthly stipend
• Tickets: 34-seat suite for home football games
• Golf/country club: country club membership.

• Miscellaneous perks: $15,000 for average attendance of 25,000, $8,000 for 20,000, $6,000 for 18,000.
• Buyout if coach leaves for another coaching job: $1,000,000 if before 11/30/17; $800,000 if before 11/30/18; $600,000 if before 11/30/19; $400,000 if before 11/30/20; $225,000 thereafter
