Long Island unemployment rates for August 2017

The overall unemployment rate on Long Island for August 2017 rose to 4.4 percent, up 0.2 percentage points from where it was a year earlier, according to data from the state’s Department of Labor. Valley Stream and Lindenhurst saw the largest increases, each going up 0.5 percentage points.
