BACKGROUND:

Messina, 60, of Holbrook, is running on the Republican and Conservative party lines.
Messina serves as a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Islip since August 2018.
Messina is an attorney for the Sayville law firm of Messina Perillo Hill.
He is a former Islip Town attorney from 1993-2006.
Messina received his undergraduate degree from St. John’s University in 1985 and earned his law degree from Hofstra University Maurice A. Deane School of Law in 1989.
He was admitted to the New York State bar in 1989 and is the current president of the Suffolk County Bar Association.
