BACKGROUND
- DeSena, 56, a registered Democrat, is running on the Republican and Conservative lines. She was first elected supervisor in 2021 before winning reelection in 2023.
- She led several nonprofits before taking office, including the Manhasset Coalition against Substance Abuse.
- DeSena earned her undergraduate degree from Boston College in 1991 and her law degree from St. John's School of Law in 1994. She was a practicing attorney until 2001.
 
ISSUES
- DeSena said she wants to continue to protect taxpayers' wallets by keeping taxes low.
- She is committed to working with local police to protect residents and maintain public safety.
