Davis, 50, of Woodmere, is running in a Democratic primary. She has been a private practice attorney specializing in trust, estates and elder law since 1990. Previously, Davis worked for Roebling Management Company from January 1990 to May 2007 in complex commercial litigation. She received a bachelor of arts degree from the Stern College for Women of Yeshiva University in 1986, a law degree from the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law in 1989, and a master of laws degree in taxation from New York Law School's graduate tax program in 2010. Davis was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1990 and the New Jersey bar in 1989. She is a member of the New York City Bar Association; Yashar, the attorneys' and judges' chapter of Hadassah, and taught as an adjunct professor for New York Law School's graduate tax program from 2011 to 2013.
