Lally, 53, of Lloyd Harbor, is running on the Republican, Conservative and Reform party lines. He is a managing partner at Lally & Misir LLP, a Mineola law firm. Lally ran unsuccessfully for Congress in 1994 and 1996 against Democratic Rep. Gary Ackerman and Rep. Steve Israel in 2014. He is a publisher of The Leader newspapers. He attended Garden City public schools. He received a bachelor's degree in international relations from Johns Hopkins University, a law degree from Boston University and an advanced law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. He and his wife have one child.
